        VPN client secures Windows Mobile wireless access

        Apani Networks has released a VPN client for wireless devices running Windows Mobile 2003. According to Apani, Contivity VPN Client supports AES/256 encryption, Radius Authentication with user name and password, RSA Security SecureID, and LDAP database authentication with user name and password or digital certificates.



        Apani says it has successfully completed functional testing of the VPN client on Dell Axim X30, Dell Axim X3i, Dell Axim X5, Toshiba e750 and HP iPAQ 5555 PDAs. Other models are in testing and will be listed on the company's website as they are qualified.

        Contivity VPN Client for Mobile 2003 works in conjunction with the company's Secure IP services gateways. The Client is available immediately at a single unit price of $50 per client, with volume discounts available.
