Yukyung's Viliv HD5 (right) was first shown off at a January CES press event, where the manufacturer previewed a bevy of devices. These included the P3, a 3.7-inch PMP with web browsing capabilities; the N5, an Atom-based clamshell device; and the S10 Blade, a convertible netbook.Compared to the above, the HD5 -- which apparently has no web browsing capabilities -- sticks closest to Yukyung's PMP roots. The entertainment-focused device has a capacitive touchscreen (below) with a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels, and is capable of sending 1080p HD video to an external display via HDMI, the company says.

Yukyung still does not say what processor the device uses, but claims the HD5 can play back 13 hours of video on a battery charge, or 47 hours of audio. The device can stand by for 450 hours, the company adds.
Running Windows CE 6.0, the HD5 is available with 8GB, 16GB, or 32GB of built-in flash storage and also has a SD expansion slot. Additionally present are a USB port and a DC input, the company says.
As mentioned, no wireless networking capabilities are cited. However, the HD5 is said to have both an FM receiver and an optional T-DMB receiver. The device weighs 8.07 ounces (229g) and measures 5.1 x 3.26 x 0.5 inches (130 x 83 x 12.9mm), Yukyung says.
