InfoLogix's ViA wearable computers support standard Windows XP and 2000 operating systems, with hard drive options of up to 60 GB. Wireless connectivity and other peripheral functions are added via two built-in PCMCIA Type II card slots.

The ViA IICT can be delivered with a choice of two displays, both with 800x600 SVGA resolution. The indoor readable display is based on a transmissive, active matrix LCD with an adjustable backlight. The outdoor display makes use of a transflective, passive matrix LCD with a backlight on/off option. Both displays are fitted with a touch screen with passive stylus, for user input. A body-worn pouch stores the display when not in use.

According to the InfoLogix, previous models of the ViA IICT have been successfully used in applications such as land surveying, agricultural field data collection, home inspection, maintenance, and public safety.
