The one-hour program is said to have been recorded on Wednesday in Barcelona at Microsoft's
TechEd EMEA conference, and is presented by the company's usual dynamic duo -- Microsoft community program manager Constanze Roman (left), and long-time embeddded developer Maarten Struys (right). According to Microsoft's MSDN website, "24 Hours of Windows Mobile application development: Windows Mobile location awareness live from TechEd EMEA" shows how to add location awareness to applications running on GPS-equipped devices.
In particular, the webcast focuses on use of the
GPS Intermediate Driver, which allows accessing information from inside managed applications. It also discusses how developers can use the
FakeGPS utility to test location-enabled applications, without needing access to physical GPS hardware, according to Microsoft.
