Microsoft's Windows Mobile team has announced a webcast devoted to improving and simplifying mobile device security. Said to be a regular at Mobile and Embedded DevCon events, Langridge has worked with Microsoft's enterprise customers for more than nine years.

Noting that "securing and managing mobile devices/smartphones across an enterprise poses many challenges for IT professionals," Microsoft's published overview of the webcast says it will show how Windows Mobile security and device management solutions can "help ... deliver enterprise control, improve secure access to corporate data and line-of-business (LOB) applications, and simplify management of Windows Mobile powered devices across your business."

Participants are required to register at Microsoft's events website, here, in order to view the webcast online.

More information from Jason Langridge is available on his personal blog, "Mr Mobile," here. There, he writes about "stalking Steve Jobs" and provides nuggets of information, such as how Microsoft U.K. developed the user interface for Vodafone's recently announced Palm Treo 500v.
