The BSP supports Atmel's AT91SAM9261-EK development board and has been certified by Microsoft, according to Adeneo.
Adeneo says the AT91SAM9261 BSP takes full advantage of various advanced features of the AT91SAM9261, such as Multi-Layer AHB (an interconnection scheme, based on the AHB protocol, that enables parallel access paths between multiple masters and slaves in a system, according to ARM), a Peripheral DMA Controller, and an Advanced Interrupt Controller. It includes drivers for all of the AT91SAM9261's built-in peripheral controllers.

- USB host and device interfaces
- LCD controller
- Synchronous serial port
- 3 asynchronous serial ports
- Two-wire interface
- Serial Peripheral interface
- Multimedia Card interface
- Parallel I/O controller
The AT91SAM9261 BSP complies with Microsoft's PQOAL (Production-Quality OEM Adaptation Layer) and new PQD (Production Quality Device) specifications, Adeneo says, and was qualified using the Microsoft Windows CE Test Kit (CETK). Having attained Microsoft certification, the BSP is listed on Microsoft's page of
Supported BSPs for Windows CE
