Windows CE .NET garnered 4th place standing in the first annual "Reader's Choice Awards" contest held by CMP Media's eeProductCenter. Held March 29 through April 2, 2004, the contest offered engineers, technical managers, and other electronics professionals the opportunity to vote for what they felt were the best new products on display at the electronicaUSA / Embedded Systems Conference...

held in San Francisco earlier this year. Votes were accepted both at the conference and on the eeProductCenter website.

Agilent Technologies's 16900 Series Logic Analyzer family was the first place winner, while Analog Devices's new family of ARM-based microcontrollers captured second place, and Wind River's newly released VxWorks 6.0 real-time operating system came in third. Microsoft's Windows CE .NET 5.0 embedded operating system was tops among the remaining finalists.

"Our editorial team had a difficult time selecting the twelve finalists, congratulations to them all," says Stephan Ohr, eeProductCenter editorial director.
