The Atmel development kit is based on the company's AT91SAM9261 ARM9 system-on-chip (SoC) and includes 64 MB of SDRAM and 256 MB of NAND flash. Peripherals include 10/100 Ethernet, USB host and device ports, serial and JTAG/ICE ports for debugging, a 3.5-inch QVGA touchscreen display, and audio DAC out (block diagram). The kit comes with a universal AC/DC power supply and all necessary cables, according to Atmel.

The training sessions are scheduled for Chicago, July 16 to 20, and Boston, September 17 to 21. Tuition is $2,500.
