CompuMaster is shipping a new thin client that supports Twinax terminal access to IBM S/36, S/38, or AS/400 systems. The TwinTerm runs Windows CE and provides traditional "green screen" display sessions on IBM systems using any commercially available CRT or LCD display, according to the company.

The device supports either a classic 122-key keyboard or a PC-style 105-key keyboard. CompuMaster says its native emulator supports connection to IBM AS/400 systems emulating all common IBM terminal types -- 5251, 5291, 3196, 3180-2, 3477-FG, and 3477-FC. Additionally, the emulator supports split screen, hot spot, and macro functionality.

The TwinTerm is offered in two models, with the TT7050 being the base configuration. The TT7150 adds features such as a local printer port, native ICA and RDP clients for access to Microsoft Terminal Servers and Citrix applications, and an IE 6.0 web browser.
