(Click here for larger image)The IGEL-132 CE Smart comes with a remote management suite that "optimizes the central administration capability of clients, resulting in a dramatic decrease of total cost of ownership in the IT infrastructure," according to IGEL.
Built around a 200 MHz embedded processor, 64 MB of RAM, and 32 MB of Flash memory, the IGEL-132 CE Smart also provides a broader feature set than other entry-level thin clients, despite its low cost, IGEL claims. The device provides multi-session capability, for example, and comes equipped with the latest communication protocols such as Citrix ICA and RDP clients, accommodating both Microsoft terminal services and Citrix Presentation Server.
The IGEL-132 CE Smart also includes a terminal emulation suite, an integrated authentication protocol for secure access to host applications, and "extensive" network support, according to IGEL, including DSL, VPN, and USB-WLAN, "with which branch offices can be efficiently integrated into the IT infrastructure and centrally managed at low cost."
