(Click here for a larger view of the Ramos V80)While several retailers and multiple blogs cite the WindTouch/Microsoft connection, there has been no official confirmation of collaboration, from either Ramos or Microsoft. Nonetheless, the V80's user interface (UI) is interesting, melding a Windows Vista-like appearance (see below) with finger touch operation.
Users can open and close windows, launch programs, and move icons by tapping or sliding their fingers on the screen. For photo viewing, moving a finger up the screen zooms in, while moving it down zooms out and moving it left or right changes pictures.

The WindTouch user interfaceThe V80 has 2GB of memory, along with a microSD/TransFlash slot that accepts up to 2GB of additional storage. Its 2.8-inch display has 320 x 240 pixel resolution, and it can display videos in formats such as AVI, ASF, FLV, and MPEG-4, at up to 25 frames per second.

The Ramos V80 includes a 1.3 megapixel cameraThe 1.3 megapixel camera included in the device can take pictures at resolutions of 1280 x 960, 640 x 480, or 320 x 240 pixels. Other hardware features include a built-in speaker and a 3.5mm headphone jack that also doubles as the device's USB 2.0 connector.
Measuring 3.9 x 2.3 x 0.6 inches (98 x 58 x 13.5mm), the V80 weighs 3.4 ounces. A 750 mAh battery is said to provide for eight hours of audio playback or four hours of video, Ramos said.
