Stellcom says it has completed work on a combo 802.11a/b access point and a Windows CE station 802.11a driver supporting Atheros Wi-Fi silicon.

According to Stellcom, their 802.11a/b/g Windows CE.net Station Driver uses Atheros software release 2.1.2 and up, as the baseline software for the driver. The software is modular and portable and designed for ease of future Atheros software upgrades. The driver features: 802.11a, 802.11a turbo mode, 802.11b, 802.11g draft 6.2, 802.11h draft, and 802.11i draft. It is usable in all indoor and outdoor channels/bands for US, Canada, South America, Europe and Japan, the company said.

Stellcom will demonstrate its 802.11x wireless hardware and software solutions at the Embedded Systems Conference in San Francisco next month, and at Networld Interop in Las Vegas (Apr. 29 - May 1).
