Two introductory
pre-conference tutorials kick things off on Monday, June 28. The morning session introduces Windows XP Embedded, while the afternoon session covers Windows CE .NET. "These sessions will give you the background you need to get the most from the conference breakout sessions and hands-on labs", says Microsoft.
The
technical sessions, beginning on Tuesday, are split into four tracks:
- Building Windows CE-based devices
- Building Windows XP Embedded-based devices
- Application development for both CE .NET and XP Embedded
- Mobility and other topics
Hands-on labs covering CE .NET, XP Embedded and application development provide and opportunity to build, deploy and debug operating system images and sample applications. "There's a ton of session and hands on lab content being created for this conference", says Mike Hall, embedded guru with Microsoft. "All content is going to be demo heavy, deep, technical (the way a conference should be, right?)"
Microsoft invites you to take part in the
Ultimate Architect III Contest, for a chance to "build the best SumoBot and be the envy of your peers with much fame and great prizes." Elimination heats will take place throughout DevCon, with the final round taking place at the DevCon Attendee Party.
Conference registration is $995 on or before May 24 and $1195 after that date. The pre-conference tutorials are an additional $100 for one session or $150 for both. Admission to the exhibit hall only is $75.
