HTC's TyTN,
first announced about a year ago, is a 3G device running Windows Mobile 5.0 on a 400 MHz Samsung processor. It features tri-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE 3G wireless connectivity, WiFi, and Bluetooth, and includes a front-facing digital camera for video telephony.

Spirit DSP's video engine block diagramSpirit says the SIP-based Voice&Video engine can be used on any network, including WiFi, and "can be easily integrated with any communication/collaboration software and/or hardware platform," the company said. Additionally, the "highly optimized" video codecs are said to support real-time video-over-IP while fitting into 200 Mhz "performance footprint," making it possible to bring video telephony to mass-market, off-the-shelf devices.
The TeamSpirit Mobile Voice&Video Engine is immediately available for licensing and targets both Windows Mobile and Linux on a "range of hardware platforms," Spirit DSP said.
