        Windows Mobile PDA comes preloaded with Skype

        i-mate says the PDA2, based on a 520 MHz Intel XScale processor with 128 MB of RAM and 64 MB of Flash, is "tuned for heavy data processing." The 3.5-inch QVGA display rotates between portrait and landscape mode.

        The company lists the following key features and specifications for the i-mate PDA2:

        i-mate notes that it offers a number of value-added services "over and above the advanced features of the device itself." The company says its web portal, Club i-mate, provides 24/7 technical advice, support, and value added services such as free hosted Microsoft Exchange email, i-mate interactive games, and upgrade patches for download. "Club i-mate is our virtual community dedicated to helping customers get the most from their devices," said i-mate CEO Jim Morrison.

        The i-mate PDA2 is expected to be available online and in stores beginning this month.
