Dopod International has announced what it claims is the world's only Windows Mobile PDA phone available in five "lifestyle" colors -- silver, matt black, lavender, pink, and blue. The Dopod 818pro, running Windows Mobile 5.0, will be initially released in Singapore, according to the company.

Dopod says the 818pro is made by Taiwanese ODM HTC. It appears similar to HTC's Magician platform, but with upgraded features that include:
        • Memory -- 64 MB RAM, 128 MB Flash
        • Display -- 2.8 inch QVGA TFT, 65k colors
        • Expansion -- MMC/SDIO
        • Wireless:
          • Quad Band GSM/GPRS (850/900/1800/1900), EDGE
          • WiFi 802.11b/g
          • Bluetooth 2.0
        • Other comm ports -- IrDA, mini-USB 1.1
        • Camera -- 2 Mpixel, with macro focus
        The processor was not specified.

The 818pro comes with a full suite of applications for viewing and editing files, including Pocket Word, Excel, and Power Point, as well as Pocket Outlook and Internet Explorer, according to Dopod. It also supports MP3 and WAV playback.

The 818pro is available immediately in Singapore for a suggested price of S$1,128 (approx. $671 USD). Dopod says it expects to roll out the device later in Hong Kong, China, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, and Taiwan
