        Following Business Week's apparent confirmation Tuesday of a Palm Treo running Windows Mobile, photos of an alledgedly working device bearing a Verizon logo have now surfaced on the Web. According to Engadget, the device is dubbed Treo 700w -- not

        href="http://www.windowsfordevices.com/news/NS4892489815.html" target=new>Treo 670, as had been expected.

        Listed "confirmed" specs include Windows Mobile 5.0, 64 MB of memory, a one Mpixel camera, Bluetooth, and EV-DO.

        Engadget suggests that the "700w" designation may mean that there will also be a "700p" running Palm OS. On the other hand, given Palm's Palm OS software spinout's much-publicized embrace of Linux as a mobile phone platform, there may well be a "Treo 700l" in the works. Time will tell!

        Go to Engadget, for photos and additional details about the device.
