Macrospecs, Inc. has launched a free Windows Mobile application claimed to provide users "full" access to their Facebook accounts. FriendMobilizer sends notifications of Facebook activity directly to a device's home screen, permits checking inboxes and "walls," and can set status and approve/disapprove friend requests, says...

Designed for those with a strong desire to know what's happening on Facebook at all times, FriendMobilizer is best used with an unlimited data plan or cost-free WiFi connection, according to Macrospecs. FriendMobilizer sends notifications of new Facebook events -- such as new "wall" postings or emails -- directly to a device's home screen, as shown below, left. Delving into the application provides the ability to set one's status (shown, below middle) and to be notified of messages, event invitations, friend requests, and other events below right).

Functionality in the FriendMobilizer application includes the following, according to Macrospecs:
        • Get notifications sent directly to your home screen
        • Set your status
        • Approve friend requests
        • View group/event invites
        • Check your wall and inbox
        • Send your friends messages, pokes, and wall posts
Judging by screens in the video below, the free FriendMobilizer application is apparently advertiser supported. It works on most Windows Mobile devices, though correcting any errors during the application's initial login to Facebook requires a device to have separate back and backspace keys, according to a posting on Macrospecs' online support forum.

Users with U.S. phone numbers can download FriendMobilizer from the Macrospecs website, here. Support for overseas users is pending, as are versions of the product for other social networks, the company says.
