Users of Windows Mobile devices can now receive direct-push email even if they lack access to a corporate Exchange Server, thanks to a new service from ThinPrint. In addition to direct-push email, the Cortado service offers the ability to read, fax, and print attachments without downloading them, according to the...

Registered users of ThinPrint's push email service are assigned an email address within the Cortado.com domain. Thereafter, all emails sent to this account are immediately forwarded to the user's Windows Mobile phone using Microsoft's direct push technology, according to the company.

Cortado requires users to have a mobile device that runs Windows Mobile 5.0 and is equipped with the Messaging & Security feature pack. The service is available for $6.50 per month with no long-term commitment, according to ThinPrint. Users who sign up now get the first two months free.

"With Cortado, every user with a Windows mobile devices can now enjoy the advantages of push mail without having to run a Microsoft Exchange Server," said Carsten Mickeleit, ThinPrint's Managing Director. "We have a convincing product -- not just because of the low price of around 6.50 USD a month, but above all because of the unique future Content Beamer functions, like reading attachments without downloading them."
