        The Microsoft Security Response Center (MSRC) assigns severity ratings to Quick Fix Engineering (QFE) updates based on the severity of potential exploitation of the vulnerability. A critical QFE addresses a vulnerability whose exploitation could allow the propagation of an Internet worm without user action.
