eTrust features a modular design and a minimal footprint, requiring less than 6 MB. According to CA, it augments the "inherent security" of thin clients, even when circumstances dictate that units be placed in public areas, outside of the firewall, or on the Internet. eTrust includes regular updates of virus signatures for maximum protection and ongoing security.
CA and Wyse say they are also exploring other opportunities to work together, particularly in the area of infrastructure management. For example, Wyse's Device Manager, which controls and updates thin-client devices, offers complements CA's Unicenter Network and Systems Management product for thin-computing infrastructures, by enabling thin clients to be discovered and monitored in the Unicenter management console.
