TenAsys says that its INtime plug-in for NI's Embedded Development Module lets LabView application developers implement virtual instruments (VIs) in the familiar Microsoft Windows environment, with the underlying control, data acquisition, and processing functions operating in a robust, real-time environment that can update instrument display parameters and close control loops as often as once every 50 microseconds.
INTime offers additional features to LabView VIs including timed loops and in-line C programming, according to TenAsys. It also allows other real-time software subsystems such as deterministic network interfaces and vision systems to be integrated into the environment.
NI's LabVIEW Embedded technology is being demonstrated running on top of TenAsys's INtime real-time extension at the
NIWeek expo this week in Austin, Texas. Product packaging and commercial availability details will follow, TenAsys said.
