Good Technology says the latest release of its wireless messaging and data access software supports two new Windows Mobile devices -- the Samsung SPH-i700 and the HP iPAQ h6315 -- and adds Wi-Fi connectivity, more Outlook features, and boasts a 300 percent network performance increase.

Good says that GoodLink on the HP iPAQ h6315 Pocket PC from T-Mobile enables users to switch seamlessly between Wi-Fi and GPRS networks to optimize data speed and coverage (Wi-Fi provides higher data transfer speeds than GPRS). Additionally, the company says its robust security model -- which includes AES and handheld encryption, remote erase, and remote password policy management -- brings the security of GPRS and CDMA networks to Wi-Fi communications.

In addition to a number of user interface enhancements, the management console and optional desktop installer have also been enhanced to simplify handheld setup, according to Good. In addition, the Good Monitoring Portal has been optimized for use from the handheld and the desktop, featuring new capabilities such as a server dashboard view and advanced search and filtering options that allow faster access to information.

Goodlink runs on several carrier networks including AT&T Wireless, Cingular, Sprint PCS, Verizon, and T-Mobile in the US, and Rogers, Orange, and O2 in Canada and the UK.
