Intrinsyc Software will introduce a new reference platform based on Intel's PXA270 processor in conjunction with Intel's Embedded Solutions Conference, a multi-location event that runs from April through June.

The CerfPod 270M Multimedia Developer's Kit targets next generation mobile, wireless, and embedded devices, and was developed in collaboration with Intel, according to Intrinsyc.

The CerfPod 270M runs Windows CE 5.0 on a PXA270 processor together with Intel's 2700G Multimedia Accelerator. It features a 10.4-inch high-contrast VGA LCD with touchscreen, and includes a range of I/O and expansion ports including CompactFlash and SD/MMC slots, USB host and client, 10 BaseT Ethernet, RS232, VGA, and JTAG.

The kit includes a Board Support Package (BSP) for CE 5.0 and a Software Development Kit (SDK) that supports application development in Embedded Visual C++ or Visual Studio, according to Intrinsyc.

The CerfPod 270M Multimedia Developer's Kit can be purchased online from the company's webstore. More information on the multi-city Intel Embedded Solutions Conference is available here.
