According to Digi, the ConnectCore XP's 3.3VDC voltage input and low power consumption make it well suited for battery operated devices. The module is used like a macrocomponent -- all peripheral interfaces appear on two 100-pin connectors, X1 and X2. A baseboard, included with the module's development kit, assists developers in evaluating the module and designing it into devices.
