Viewsonic's ViewPad 1000 web tablet is based on the mobile Intel Celeron 800MHz processor plus with SDRAM 256MB (expandable to 512MB). Connectivity options include integrated 802.11b Mini-PCI WiFi LAN, RJ-11 modem port, and RJ-45 fast ethernet port.
An onboard digital CCD camera captures 15fps streaming video and still photos.
The 10.4 inch TFT LCD display has a resolution of 600x800 and operates in either portrait or landscape mode. The device includes a 20 GB hard disk for storage and a Type II PC card slot for expansion. System ports include two USB ports, one microphone and one Audio Out jack, VGA port, infrared data wireless keyboard port, infrared data port, and a 16-pin connector for the ViewPad's docking station.
