. . . the independent Windows Embedded ecosystem

Mission

WindowsForDevices.com is the premier independent Windows Embedded ecosystem. The focus of the site is to advance the use of Microsoft's Windows Embedded and Windows Mobile software technologies within devices and embedded systems, while educating developers about the technologies. The site features coverage of what's happening and what's upcoming in software, hardware, platforms, tools, and design efforts relating to the use of Windows Embedded and Windows Mobile software technologies.

Audience

WindowsForDevices.com is aimed at hardware, software, and system engineers; technical decision makers including engineering and project managers; and CxOs charged with guiding the technology strategy of their respective companies.

Editorial content

WindowsForDevices.com generates exclusive, staff-written content concentrating primarily on the world of Windows Embedded and Windows Mobile technologies. As well, it offers exclusive content created by Microsoft and other companies in the Windows Embedded and Windows Mobile market, and aggregates pointers to selected content from other world-class news organizations.

The site's editor-in-chief and principal contributor is Jonathan Angel, who has worked as a tech journalist in the U.S. and U.K. since the early 80s. Early on, he tested a beta release of Windows 1.0, commenting that it could catch on if users could ever afford computers and graphics cards powerful enough to run it!

Angel has contributed to such titles as Byte, DBMS, Fortune, InfoWorld, LAN Technology, LAN Times, PC Computing, PC World, and Windows magazine. He has authored or co-authored related books including How Local Area Networks Work, RealMedia Complete, The Little Quicken Book, and Web Publisher's Construction Kit With Netscape Plug-Ins

Another regular contributor to WindowsForDevices.com is Eric Brown, a former senior editor at PC World and a regular contributor to MIT Technology Insider. He also wrote That’s Edutainment, a 1995 book about kid's educational software. Like Angel, he is committed to maintaining the high technical and news reporting standards established by Lehrbaum.
