        Device Profile: LXE's ruggedized MX5 Pocket PC

        LXE Inc. has introduced a ruggedized Pocket PC aimed at heavy duty operation in extreme environments. The MX5 has a magnesium housing that can withstand multiple six-foot drop, it can handle water, and an optional internal heater allows operation in temperatures as low as -22 F.


        LXE says it's intended for industrial and logistics applications as well as operation in ports where rain, salt, humidity, and fluctuating temperatures make for severe conditions.
