The beta 2 of Microsoft's.NET Speech Software Development Kit (SDK) has just been released and is available for free download from Microsoft.
The 45.5-MBytes' worth of SDK beta is equipped with a complete tool set for the creation and testing of Speech Application Language Tags (SALT)-based voice-only telephony applications. The tools are integrated into Visual Studio.NET.
The SDK also supports the development of multimodal speech applications on clients desktop or TabletPC clients using Internet Explorer browser software. Also handled are World Wide Web Consortium standards-compatible formats for grammar authoring, a prebuilt library of reusable speech telephony and application controls, and grammar libraries.
