Windows signage modules follow Intel Open Pluggable Specfication
NEC unveiled two computing modules that follow Intel's Open Pluggable Specification (OPS) for digital signs running Windows Embedded Standard 7. Designed to slot into the back of the company's displays, they're the Intel Core i5-powered N8000-8330 and the AMD-powered SB-02SC-2, according to the company."

Windows-powered box grabs network traffic for back-in-time analysis
Fluke Networks has chosen Windows underpinnings for another network testing device, described as a "plug-and-play appliance" for data forensics. The Network Time Machine version 8 uses single or dual Intel Xeon or Core i7 processors, has up to 60TB of storage, and captures information at up to 10Gbps, the company says."

Aaeon announced a new version of a 10.2-inch tablet computer, specifically designed to run Windows Embedded Standard 7. The RTC-1000D includes a 10.1-inch touchscreen, 1.2GHz Core Duo U2500 processor, fingerprint scanner, handwriting recognition, and ten programmable function keys, according to the company."
