Windows 7 tablet's controllable via voice or head movements
The French company Evigroup has announced a high-end Windows 7 tablet with a 11.6-inch display, the ability to be controlled via voice or webcam, and a custom user interface called "Scale." The SmartPaddle comes with a 1.66GHz Atom N450 processor and a 64GB solid state disk (SSD), and ships complete with a docking station and a Bluetooth keyboard."

AMD-powered tablet orderable now for $550
A Windows 7 tablet featuring a 1.0GHz AMD C-50 processor and accelerated Radeon HD6250 graphics will go on sale later this month for $550, according to a listing by the New York retailer B&H. The Iconia Tab W500 has a 10.1-inch multitouch screen, dual cameras (1.3 megapixel), Wi-Fi, plus optional 3G and Bluetooth 3.0, according to the company."

Another Oak Trail tablet is revealed
Taiwanese manufacturer ECS Elitegroup has joined the ranks of those producing Windows 7 tablets with Intel's recently announced "Oak Trail" Atom. The ElitePad S10 will include a 1.5GHz Z670 CPU, 1GB of RAM, solid state disk storage, a 10.1-inch capacitive touchscreen with available 1366 x 768 pixel resolution, and a 1.3 megapixel webcam, according to a Federal Communications Commission (FCC) filing that appeared Apr. 11."

IEI announced a tablet PC it's billing as suitable for both home entertainment and enterprise applications. Fujitsu's sliding tablet's set to ship -- but Samsung's is still a no-show
Windows 7 tablets featuring slide-out keyboards (and Intel's Atom Z670 processor) have encountered developmental turbulence. The OSC9 will otherwise offer standard ingredients, such as a 1.5GHz "Oak Trail" processor, a 10.1-inch capacitive touchscreen, Bluetooth 3.0, and a 1.3 megapixel front-facing camera, the website says."
