Winmate announced a rugged handeld computer that runs Windows XP Embedded on a 1.1GHz Intel Atom Z510 processor. The G570Z includes a 5.7-inch screen with resistive touch and 640 x 480 pixel resolution, up to 2GB of RAM and from 8GB to 64GB of flash storage, and a two megapixel camera, according to the company."

Janam announced a "gun-shaped" handheld computer that offers the ability to read barcodes from as far as 17 feet. The XG105 runs Windows Mobile 6.1 on a 624MHz Marvell PXA320, and features a 3.7-inch touchscreen display, 802.11b/g and Bluetooth, barcode scanning, a choice of keyboards, and a battery integrated into its pistol grip."

Psion announced a modular, Windows-based handheld computer that provides up to 20 hours of battery life. The ultra-rugged Omnii XT15 includes an 800MHz TI (Texas Instruments), a 3.7-inch VGA display, a choice of six different keyboards, and a bevy of scanning and connectivity options, the company says."

Winmate announced a rugged handeld computer that runs Windows CE 6.0, Windows Mobile 6.5, or Android 2.3 on a 720MHz Texas Instruments OMAP3530 processor. The S430T includes a 4.3-inch screen with capacitive touch and 800 x 480 pixel resolution, 512MB of RAM and 512MB of flash storage, a five megapixel camera, and IP67 dust and water protection, according to the company."

Motorola Solutions announced a "value-priced," rugged mobile computer that runs Windows CE 6.0 on a 624MHz Marvell PXA270 processor. The MC2180 has a 2.8-inch, 320 x 240 pixel touchscreen, 1D or 1D/2D scanning, 128MB of RAM, 256MB of flash storage, a microSD slot, and VoIP capabilities, according to the company."

Idtronic GmbH announced a Windows Mobile 6.5-based handheld computer that includes a HF RFID reader, a 1D/2D scanner, a three megapixel camera, a GPS receiver, and GPRS/GSM cellular connectivity. The M3 Orange has a 3.5-inch touchscreen with 320 x 240 pixel resolution, a QWERTY or AZERTY keyboard, an 806MHz Marvell PXA320 processor, 256MB of RAM, and 512MB of flash storage."

Micronet announced a pair of Windows CE-powered computers that are designed for in-vehicle mounting but can also be used as portables. With 4.3-inch or 7-inch touchscreens, respectively, the CE-504 and CE-507 include 600MHz Texas Instruments (TI) OMAP3503 processors, RS232 and USB ports, digital I/O, plus optional Ethernet, CANbus, and RS422 interfaces, according to the company."

Honeywell announced an entry-level handheld computer initially aimed at the APAC (Asia Pacific) region. The ruggedized O5100 runs Windows CE 5.0 on a 624MHz Marvell PXA300 processor, has 64MB of RAM and 128MB of flash storage, does 1D and 2D barcode scanning, and includes 802.11b/g wireless networking as well as Bluetooth 2.0."
