Advantech has released two fanless panel computers that run Windows CE and offer 3.5-inch touchscreens. With optional CAN-Bus, the Marvell PXA270-based TPC-30T and TPC-32T can be used as thin clients or for HMI (human machine interface) applications, according to the company.

Both the TPC-30T and TPC-32T feature a 3.5-inch touchscreen display with 320 x 240 pixel resolution. They run Windows CE 5.0 on a Marvell PXA270 processor clocked at 312MHz, and have 64MB of RAM and 32MB of flash, Advantech says. The difference between the two devices is that the TPC-32T adds a CAN (controller area network) interface.

The devices operate without a fan, and have an enclosure made of "tough" ABS plastic. The bottom houses interfaces that include a RJ45 LAN port, a power receptor, plus a RS232/485 serial port (TPC-30T) or CAN-Bus port (TPC-32T). The side provides access to a USB 1.1 port and an SD slot for added storage.

The TPC-30T and TPC32T appear to be available now, but Advantech did not release pricing or availability information.
