i-mate has launched a successor to its JAM Pocket PC phone. The JAMin comes in the same compact form-factor as its predecessor, but features "significant improvements" including quad-band GPRS/EDGE capability, built-in WiFi, a 2 Mpixel camera, and Windows Mobile 5.0, according to the company.

The JAMin has a non-slip black casing for extra grip, and an enhanced keypad design for improved one-handed navigation, according to i-mate. The quad-band Pocket PC phone boasts built-in WiFI, Bluetooth, and IrDA connectivity, and also provides an SDIO/MMC slot for convenient expansion. The integrated 2 Mpixel camera includes a macro mode for close-up shots and can also function as a camcorder.

The device features MP3 player, voice recorder, and speakerphone functions. It also comes with Computer Associates eTrust antivirus software.

i-mate lists the following key features and specifications for the JAMin:
